Summertime Fun!

Our summer has been full of family, friends, and FUN!  Our family has changed a lot since Corinne's arrival on May 18th, but despite the challenges of adjusting to life with a newborn, we've still managed to squeeze in some fun this summer!

Right after Corinne's birth, Keira got to go on a special Daddy outing to the "Ranch Roundup," a fun carnival-type event at a local elementary school, invited by Ella and family.

Of course, there have been many, many summer hikes with Daddy.

Grammy came down in June to help out after Corinne was born.

Nana also came down in June and Keira & I zipped off for a quick getaway for frozen yogurt and playing at the park while Nana took care of Corinne.

For the 4th of July, we continued our tradition of hanging out with our friends, the Dukes and the Sterlings. We are so blessed to have such good friends!

Summertime = swim lessons!!!

We went back to the Scripps Ranch Swim & Racquet Club for lessons (same place as last year) and Keira did great. The first couple of days were tough because she didn't want to get her face wet. But then another parent suggested goggles and after giving them a try, it was like a whole new world! Keira suddenly had confidence and had so much fun practicing all the skills!!

On July 18th, Corinne turned 2 months old!

We have so LOVED seeing her big toothless smiles!

She is such a sweet, calm baby & we love her so much!

Stats: 12 lbs, 8 oz (74%); 23.5 in long (86%); 15.25 in head circumference (60%).

Of course, she is above average in all areas!

Since coming out of the newborn fog, we've been able to have Kid Swap at our house again.

Keira has continued her dance class during the summer.

Each week has been a different theme, to switch things up and make it fun.

This was "Beach Attire Day" and she got to wear her swimsuit!

A lazy morning at home, lounging in jammies. Corinne is going to town on Sophie while Keira is watching Clifford. Keira wanted to snuggle up in her sleeping bag to be next to Corinne on her cozy couch-bed.

We love these lazy mornings together at home!

Summer is coming to an end, but it sure has been a great one this year!
