Keira's 1st Dance Recital!

Keira has been in dance class (tap/ballet combo) since last fall and she absolutely loves it! In the spring, the class started practicing for the upcoming summer recital, which was very exciting! Keira's class danced to the song "Paris Holds the Key to My Heart" from Disney's Anastasia. She enjoyed practicing the recital dance at home and was so thrilled when the day of the recital finally arrived!

Getting all fancy!
Mommy is in the background trying to figure out how to use bobby pins to make a bun (a recital requirement!).

Success!

Tame those fly-aways!

Makeup too?! WOW!
(Another recital requirement due to the bright stage lighting)

She loved getting to wear Mommy's real makeup!

Our beautiful Parisian dancer!

The recital was held at a middle school in Clairemont.  Keira had to get there early for dress rehearsal and Daddy was there as a volunteer photographer. Mommy and Corinne just waited around outside for the show to begin.

At dress rehearsal.
Getting used to dancing up on the real stage.

Keira's classmate & dancing buddy, Ava.

She seems pretty comfortable up on the stage!

All eyes on Keira!

Hanging out and snacking backstage while waiting for the show to start.

It was a small class.

Getting into character!

Cutest costumes ever!

Miss Brittany, the Director of Dance to Evolve

Time to start the real performance!
She looks a little shell-shocked (there were a lot of people in the audience!)

Having fun & dancing her heart out!

So cute!!

Keira's teacher, Miss Amy, getting her groove on!

Strike a pose!
All the dance teachers showed off their skills in a group performance!

Congratulatory hug!

Sweet Ella came to support Keira in her recital.
What an amazing friend!

Our star performer!

We had a great time watching Keira perform! She has gained some great skills through her dance class (being able to be away from me, following a teacher's instructions, coordination, self-confidence, and probably more) and we are so proud of her!
Great job, Keira!!

After the show, there was a little reception with snacks and activities.
The girls got to get their faces painted, always a favorite activity!

Thank you, Mackenzie and Ella, for coming out to support Keira in her recital!
She loved having you there!!
