Thanksgiving at the Beach!

Thanksgiving was an un-traditional event this year. We weren't up for traveling too far for Corinne's sake AND we had some timeshare points to use before we would lose them. So, the end result: we spent Thanksgiving week at the Newport Coast Resort in Newport Beach! Noah's family joined us for the week and although it wasn't a typical Wardrip Thanksgiving, I think it's safe to say, a fun time was had by all!

Keira testing out the bed!
Looks pretty comfy!

Nighttime stroll around the resort

Really, Mom?!
You're still trying to push the oatmeal on me?!

I guess it's not so bad!

Vacations are so much fun!

Playing card games = a new favorite activity

The pool was a big hit for sure!!

The girls just lounging by the pool

Running in the air
(Oh, and swimming without a floatie--such a big girl!!)

Spa time!

Strolling around the resort
(ocean view behind us, but can't see it too well in the pic)

My happy place!
These chairs were up on a hill, overlooking the ocean.
I really wanted to sit there and relax with a good cup of coffee, but never got the chance.
Next time!

Giant-sized shuffleboard--wow!

Happy girl, taking it all in!

Pool shark!

Date night!!
We had a delicious dinner at a hole-in-the-wall Italian restaurant in Laguna Beach.
(Dessert was Trader Joe's bon-bons while sitting in the car since the ice cream shop was already closed).

My littlest turkey on her first Thanksgiving!

What a view!

Daddy playtime

Photoshoot time!

Turkey dresses for my two little turkeys!

Beautiful girl!
(Getting some ipad time thanks to Aunt Laura)

Corinne's first time eating yams--yummy!!

Mmmmmmm!
Thanksgiving is yummy!!

Keira made the name cards for our Thanksgiving table!
(All credit for the idea & supplies goes to Momma Mack!!).

We enjoyed a yummy Thanksgiving feast with all the usual suspects: Tricia Rhodes' turkey, mashed potatoes, yams, stuffing, Laura's homemade rolls, green bean casserole, etc. It was all so delish!!

Corinne getting the spa treatment in the giant jacuzzi tub!

What would Thanksgiving be without a puzzle to do?!

The next day, we met up with the Wardrip Aunts for lunch at The Crab Cooker.
It was our first time meeting Baby Emery!

Cousins!

Corinne and Emery: baby cousin buddies!
Born 3 days apart!

Helping Aunt Laura with her music recording

Beautiful view

We had a yummy breakfast at The Beachcomber restaurant.
Mmmm...so delish!
(The restaurant was literally right on the beach)

Happy girls!

With a restaurant right on the beach, of course, you have to play in the sand afterward!

Love.Love.Love.

Joy!

Such a pretty girl!

Haha! You can tell who took this picture!
(my hand-eye coordination is not fast enough to keep up with the camera!).

These two spent lots of time in the pool!

Flying!

Gorgeous sunset pictures.
Nice job, Love!

Yay for an awesome family vacation!!
